Advertisement Of Vacant Post
Vacant posts are advertised according to Chapter A - The Public Officers (Appointments
and Promotions) Regulations, 1961 namely:
* Advertisement Regulation 7(a)
Applications are invited from the general public (Subjects of His Majesty the Sultan
and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam including the Government Officers and Personnel).
Approval to advertise vacant posts under this Regulation 7(a) is by the Public Service
Department (PSD).
The advertisement will be inserted in the Government official newspaper (Pelita Brunei).
* Advertisement Regulation 38(a)
Applications are invited from serving officers and personnel of Ministries and Government
Departments (Subjects of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam
excluding the Public).
Approval to advertise vacant posts under this Regulation 38(a) is by the Public Service
Commission (PSC).
The advertisement will be inserted in the Public Service Department Circular to all
the Ministries and the Government Departments.
* Advertisement Regulation 38(b)
Applications are invited only from serving officers and personnel of the Department
concerned (Subjects of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam)
without inviting the public, the officers and the personnel of other Ministries or
Departments.
Approval to advertise vacant posts under this Regulation 38(b) is by the Public Service
Commission.
The vacant post will be advertised only in the Circular of the Department concerned.
