BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE


Public Service Commission (PSC) is an independent body formed on 1st January, 1962, in accordance with Section 71(1) of Brunei Constitution 1959.

Jurisdiction
The Public Service Commission is responsible to submit to His Majesty Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam matters on the appointments, transfers, promotions, dismissal or disciplinary action of the Public Service officers within its jurisdiction and in accordance with General Orders.
 

Members Of PSC
The Chairman, Deputy Chairman, six Members and a Secretary are appointed by His Majesty Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

 

 

Objective

The objective of the public service commission is to provide and ensure that the public service has the right number and quality of staff to meet the developmental needs of Brunei Darussalam by providing efficient, effective and impartial services.
